We picked up Jackson's glasses today. I took him in to the optometrist last week because we noticed his right eye would drift in when he was looking up close. I had noticed it a lot in pictures. But I never really thought anything of it till Charee noticed it and brought it up. I then brought it up to Jackson's Dr. and he suggested I take him to a pediatric optometrist. So that's just what I did. Turns out he is far sighted in both eyes but much more in his right than his left. The Dr. said it was a really good thing we caught it so early. Jackson may avoid getting a lazy eye and having to do a patch or even surgery. I guess it's genetic, my sister had a lazy eye when she was young too. He will have to wear glasses throughout his childhood but may be OK as an adult. He's not too sure of the glasses as of now. He's been tipping his head up so he's looking through the bottom of them. And he keeps trying to take them off. But I'm sure he will get used to them and soon they will seem like a part of him and he won't know the difference. He's so cute! :0)
